First-time clients will fill out a health history form to establish any specific conditions needing to be addressed and your goals for the treatment. You will then lie on a massage table and drape yourself with the sheets provided to receive services to help you reach your goals. All questions are welcome at any time during the session and additional instruction are provided during consultation.

Being freshly bathed is preferred, since I will often be rubbing oil into your skin. Try not to eat a large meal, avoid ingesting alcohol or drugs, and remove all jewelry, watches, and body piercings prior to your session. Also, make sure you drink plenty of water before and after your massage session.
-
You may choose to undress to your level of comfort. Many people prefer to keep their lower underwear on during a massage, however, you never have to undress to a degree that makes you uncomfortable. You may choose to leave your clothing on for the full session. Ample time will be given to undress privately, if you choose, and lie down on the massage table, where you will cover yourself with sheets. Regardless of your level of disrobe, only the areas that are actively being worked on will be uncovered. The groin and breast tissue will be covered at all times.

If you have a fever, cold, flu or contagious disease, please avoid coming in to receive services. If you are too sick to go to work, you are likely too sick to get a massage and it is best to stay home and rest. The first trimester of pregnancy is generally considered a contraindication for massage, as are active chemotherapy or other intensive medical treatments. If you have a medical condition and are unsure if a massage would be appropriate, please speak with your primary care provider about receiving massage therapy services.

The truth is it varies depending on your pain levels, lifestyle, and budget. Most of my clients leading an active lifestyle or are prone to sports-related injury receive services bi-weekly. Many prefer a monthly treatment to ward off aches and pains. Regular massage has compounding benefits and for this reason I recommend bi-weekly or monthly massage for maximum benefits. This is why I offer a massage membership as an easy, affordable, and accessible way to maintain your wellness goals. Learn more about my massage membership plan by clicking here.
